There are two ways of communicating, one of them being human and the other being nonhuman. Then there is verbal communication and non-verbal communication. There are many different barriers to communication.

The ability to communicate is very important in functioning as a successful society because without it, we would be unable to exchange ideas and understand more about the world around us.  All people view the world differently, and being able to explain to others how one understands it will help bring progress to our nation.  Communication is also important in education because it requires both sides to be on the same page in order to build upon fundamental concepts.
